Some of their communities only require the rent to be 30% of the adjusted income for eligible seniors, who should be 62 years of age or older. Should residents need to have injections or medication management by a professional, however, skilled nurses are made available for community members as well.
The communities can be quite large with apartments and single residential homes on the campus. Some of them are located in scenic vistas overlooking water. There are a variety of housing options from condos to cottages at different Lutheran senior services centers. The communities can provide common areas for seniors and many amenities like banking, private meeting rooms, libraries, computer and media rooms, and pools and spas. The grounds and homes are maintained by a staff of professionals who care for the community’s structures as part of the Lutheran senior services offered there.
Although the Lutheran church sponsors many of the centers, the community is open to people of all faiths. There is a chapel available with services given regularly in these communities. They do include Bible study as some of their planned activities, along with arts and crafts, socials, movies and exercise classes. There is a wide range of services in any of these communities and they are well worth looking into when you are planning your new retirement home.
